One thing it does is offer better support for high DPI monitors, so that might interest a Mac user. 92.3 I think was the last versions able to run on WinXP. Though there is a 32 bit windows version. Windows Provides two options for 32-bit and 64-bit architecture. Open the provided default.svg make any changes desired as defaults every time inkscape is opened. Linux An executable file and Distribution-independent snap package are available. But no current version, (no body has stepped up and done the compiles.) It may be also be 32 bit, I can't test. The instructions for modifying and installing Inkscape are noted below: 1) Modify the Defaults/Templates (C:\Program Files\Inkscape\share\inkscape\templates\) and configure Inkscape default settings by overwriting the default.svg. Choose the all-in-one installer for Python 2.7 and Windows 32-bit (win32). The old version you have was probably due to someone without a Mac trying to keep it simple and compiling as 32 bit. ![]() I don't think any of the Devs have a Mac.
